About

Get to know John

With over two decades of service in law enforcement, including three terms as the Thurston County Sheriff, John Snaza has firsthand insight into the challenges facing our community. He is a Navy veteran of the Persian Gulf, and is married to his wife Amber, a small business owner. Now, he steps forward to translate that experience into effective legislative action.

“I’ve spent my career protecting and serving the people of Thurston County,” Snaza remarked. “I want continue that service on a broader scale, advocating for policies that prioritize the safety and well-being of our community.”

Several years ago, Snaza was in a life altering motorcycle accident. He spent weeks in the hospital recovering from his injuries. The experience gave him a new appreciation for life and strengthened his commitment to our community through public service.
